A simple computer under UNIX/LINUX (with enough disk space) can be used to build a 3 days shifted MODIS SURVEY SYSTEM.

For each area the data are automatically selected and downloaded every day from the NASA data pool with a time delay of 1 to 3 days. (3 days are secure and less depends on the area Earth location)

For a real time survey a MODIS antenna must be implemented to replace the NASA DATA POOL.

Example of data volumes for TERRA:

the West Africa area test:
42°
-30°

A Year of data: 1.5 Tera bytes of compress data + 10 G bytes of jpeg images.
